Note di rilascio per Condres OS 2019.01

Oggi siamo orgogliosi di rilasciare Condres OS 2019.01 con i desktop KDE, GNOME, Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE e Xorg. Sono arricchiti con alcuni pacchetti e script utili, un nuovissimo programma di installazione e una versione personalizzata con patch per il desktop e filesystem.

KDE Plasma è disponibile alla versione 5.14.5, mentre GNOME arriva alle 3.30
e Xfce a 4.12.4, mentre Cinnamon arriva a 4.0 e MATE a 1.21.0.

Questa versione ha il nome “Celestian 2019.01”.

Calamares – il nostro nuovo programma di installazione.
Questa è la 8a release con il nuovo programma di installazione creato dal Calamares Installer Framework e ne siamo abbastanza contenti. È in costante sviluppo e nel prossimo futuro migliorerà parecchio su LVM e LUKS2.

Il partizionamento è fatto dal nuovissimo kpmcore 3.3.0, che è anche il cuore di KDE Partition Manager (KPM). Il pacchetto corrispondente per questo è chiamato partitionmanager

Le installazioni UEFI sono facili
Con Calamares possiamo proclamare la piena implementazione di UEFI dal 2017.1.0. Per ora abbiamo ancora la crittografia con LUKS e LVM disattivati, che Calamares offre come opzione. Vogliamo essere al top di questa funzionalità prima di offrirla a te. Offrire significa che dobbiamo essere in grado di supportare questa funzionalità critica. Non riteniamo di poterlo fare adeguatamente in questo momento, in quanto è uno sviluppo continuo, che dovrebbe essere più maturo con kpmcore 3.4.

FIX AND NEW FEATURES:

This release fixes number of bugs due to the Calamares installer. First of all, the problem that caused the failed installation on uefi partitions was solved.
We solved the problem that the installer did not regularly detect the system or virtualbox and did not remove the guest-additions.
Fixed the problem due to the language that even if chosen regularly was not configured and consequently the system was still in English.
Added in this first version the Opensuse gfxboot support and fully functional. Note that non-free drivers are not currently supported but only open source drivers. From the next release we will also support non-free drivers.
Added icon support on the desktop for the Gnome desktop version. The default dock is now at the bottom and the home and trash icons will appear.
Added the icons on the desktop of the distribution that are linked to the portal and by default now the browser is google-chrome.
Fixed a bug for the permissions related to the / etc folder that were changed incorrectly once the iso image was created in 775. Now the permissions have been set up and there are no more pacman alerts indicating the change in permissions.
